Maintenance Manager

CAP is looking for an experienced Lift Maintenance Manager who is practical and has a strong understanding of the workings of an operational lift. The successful candidate will get to work in a special environment and is integral to the successful running of the park.

The role will oversee a small team who has responsibility for all things maintenance at the park: From building services, water management, vehicles, grounds and specifically the lift. Perfect for someone who has strong lift maintenance experience and wants to move into management and run a maintenance department.


Main Duties:

  • Ownership and management of the lift maintenance function within the Park
  • Working closely with Dopplemayr to undertake routine maintenance on the lift.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of village buildings, stormwater system and vehicle fleet;
  • Liaising closely with third party contractors such as electricians and plumbers to undertake specialist maintenance work as required.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of village buildings, stormwater system and vehicle fleet;
  • Following thorough processes and documentation around inspection, maintenance and repair works of all plant and workings in the Adventure Park including, but not limited to, the chairlift, vehicles, village buildings
  • Responsibility for record-keeping and maintenance logs
  • Rubbish management - transferring rubbish from the village locations to the Operations area;
  • Man management of maintenance team.

  • Assist with basic landscaping including mowing, trimming and weeding around the village


  • Minimum 5 years experience on lift maintenance.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
  • Working at Heights certificate
  • Full NZ Drivers’ license with manual endorsement;
  • Man management experience or desire to move into this area.
  • Ability to work outdoors in potentially challenging conditions for long periods of time;
  • Experience in a self-starting/self-managing role in order to get the job done.
  • Confident use of the English language, written and oral;
  • Ability to work in New Zealand for the duration of your contract.
