Are you ready for this? We’ve got the highest (at 150 metres) and the longest (just over 1 kilometre) ziplines in New Zealand.

Combine a real rush of adrenaline with great views of the city and its sights (on a good day you can see all the way from the ocean to the spectacular Southern Alps).

Almost everybody can zipline and we’re here to help. As long as you fit our height and weight restrictions and can walk the short distance between the zip stations, you’re good to go.*

Frequently asked questions

How long does a zipline tour take?
The full zipline tour is about 2.5 hours, The Long Ride will drop you back to base in an hour and a half.

What should I wear?
Closed toe shoes are essential. Depending on the weather, you’ll need light breathable materials on hot days and multiple warm layers on cold days. You’ll be wearing a full body harness so choose clothing wisely to match weather conditions and trousers or shorts are recommended.

How many ziplines are there?
Four individual zip lines.

How long are the ziplines?
The first zip line is 490m long, the second is 430m long. Number 3 is the highest in New Zealand at a staggering 150m in the air. Number 4 (aka The Long Ride) is the longest in New Zealand at a whopping 1.1 kilometres!

Can I take a camera on my zipride?
Sure, as long as it’s tethered to you in some way so you can’t drop it.

Is it safe?
Safety is our top priority. We are AdventureMark approved and audited annually. Our guides are professionally trained and we never compromise on your safety.

Are there any restrictions?
Yes unfortunately there are. You need to weigh between 27kgs (60lbs) and 125kgs (276lbs) and be a minimum of 122cm (4ft) tall. You can’t be pregnant or suffer from any heart condition, have any broken, fractured or recently dislocated bones or have any previous back or neck conditions.

Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older.

The Long Ride involves a short walk from the vehicle to the start of the zipline, you will also be required to carry your equipment which consists of a helmet, harness and trolley.

What happens if the park is closed because of bad weather on the day I’ve booked?
Guest services will personally contact you. You can reschedule free of charge or get a full refund.

When do I pay?
Payment is taken at the time of booking.

Can I cancel my booking free of charge?
Yes you can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours of your scheduled booking. If you can cancel within 24 hours your booking is non-refundable. You can move your booking for a $25 per person fee.

Can I change my booking time/date?
Of course. You can change your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled booking. Changes made within 24 hours will incur a $25 change fee per person.

Can you zip in the rain?
Yes and we do!
