These sessions are designed to build a solid foundation of skill to comfortably progress into our intermediate sessions

Intermediate (levels 3-4)
This is for riders who are familiar with the fundamentals of mountain biking and are keen to develop their riding on more challenging terrain (Grade 3-4). Many additional techniques will be covered at this level, e.g. cornering, advanced brake control, and line choice.

Equipment Requirements and Suggestions

Bikes

Riders are encouraged to bring their own bikes, but bikes must have two working disc brakes, appropriate off-road tires, and at least front suspension. Kickstands are a hazard when Mountain Biking and should be removed. If you are unsure about your bike’s suitability, let us know and we’ll be happy to take a look at it before the lesson.

Gear

You’re encouraged to bring your own equipment but Full face Helmet, Knee Armour, and appropriate closed-toe footwear are required for all lessons. Elbow armour, gloves and eye protection are strongly recommended. Full Face helmet, Knee & Elbow Armour, and Gloves can be rented/supplied if needed.

Conditions can be different at the top of the lift and can change during the lesson so depending on the weather forecast consider bringing a warmer and/or waterproof layer in a hydration pack.
