UNDER 10 RIDE FOR FREE
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult
In NZ, it is against the law to leave your under-14-year-old child without making reasonable provision for their care or supervision. CAP is not responsible for providing this supervision unless your child is enrolled in a coaching or holiday programme with us.
You should ensure that your under-14-year-old rider is adequately supervised and at a minimum:
Doesn’t ride alone
Carries a mobile phone
Knows what to do in an emergency
Checks in with someone after every lap.
We also draw your attention to CAP’s Code of Conduct, which will be rigorously enforced in the event of poor conduct or misbehaviour by any guest or visitor to CAP, which could result in the loss of riding privileges.
If a rider is under 18 a parent or guardian is required to sign the Risk Acknowledgement form when a pass is purchased. Riders 13 years and under require adequate supervision on the trails. Eg. Not riding alone, knowing what to do in an event of an emergency, having access to a mobile phone and a check-in system after every lap.
Code of Conduct
At Christchurch Adventure Park, we’re dedicated to creating a safe, respectful and fun environment for everyone — whether you’re here to ride, zip, hike, or simply enjoy the scenery. To help protect this experience, we ask that all staff, guests, and visitors follow our Code of Conduct.
The Code of Conduct sets clear expectations for behaviour in the Park and outlines the steps we’ll take if unsafe or unsuitable behaviour occurs. This includes how we handle misconduct, our approach when minors are involved, and the standards we expect of both guests and staff. Our focus is always on safety, respect, and ensuring the best possible experience for all.
